笔试是分开考的
口语两者不是分开的，只要四六级达到口语线（四级过了550六级过了520）都可以参加就可以报考，考试也是一起的，不区分对待

英语四级考试达到一定分数的学生才能报考大学英语六级考试。

是公共英语四级和公共英语六级，就是平时大家说的公四公六，cet4.cet6非英语专业的同学考这个。

提高英语四级作文关键在于：
1 词汇量是要有的  不要求什么高级词汇 但是用一些大学词汇总比高中词汇要来得好。
2 复合句子确实能显得作文很有水平 但是要记住 1到2句即可  我个人觉得2句就算多了  简单句好读  意思清楚明了
3 语法是重头  千万不能出现语法错误  这也是不要写复合句的原因  已出现语法 就会扣分相对较多
4 拼写就不用多说  这个也很重要
5 关联词的运用啊 那些比较特别的词 想必你已经知道有多重要 但是 在这里 重要的不是这些词  而是你要想办法把他用的和别人不一样 千篇一律分不高
6 平时多看看范文  记一记里面写的好的句子 词什么的  可以灵活套在自己要写的作文里。
7 思维还是有些地位的  作文结构也要严谨（不过一般作文会列出要写的要点  按照顺序写绝对OK  注：一般重点在中间的要点 可以考虑多写点 但不是说其他就一笔带过  都要有所扩充）有些作文就是考学生的想法 比如意见 建议啊  所以 这是能想出与众不同的 更好了 所以 多看范文 也可以帮助。
8 有时候  对于你觉得好的单词（当然不是高中词汇一类的） 查查意思 看看用法 以后也可以用到作文里。
9  字体一定要写得清楚啊 让快速阅卷的老师能一眼看出你写的是什么

开门见山，直入正题——在文章的开头就直接点明主题。
引用名言警句，推出主题——在文章开头引用一些名言或警句，以此来引出自己的观点，也是一种不错的方法。
描述现象，引发主题——这种写法要求先描述一种普遍存在的现象，然后再发表对该现象的看法和观点，从而点明主题。
陈述人们对讨论话题的不同看法，然后提出自己的观点——引用人们对某一话题不同观点的阐释后，提出自己的看法。
自问自答，引出主题——这种方式要求针对某话题先提出问题，然后给予解答，通过答案的方式来呈现观点。
以生活事件开篇，导出全文主题——从身边熟悉的人或事引发感想，导出主题，显得自然、贴切。
以上几种方法都比较常见，作文开头要精练，不要出现不必要的语法错误，这样就行了。
